LYNNVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Tecumseh Braves are talking sectional championships this year.
Jeff Daming’s team may have enough firepower. The Braves return six offensive starters including Griffin Tuley and Travis Parker.
Despite going 4-7 in three of the past four seasons, and not winning a sectional title since 2003, there’s optimism surrounding the program. Head coach, Jeff Daming, explains, that’s motivating his guys to play at a higher level.
“The kids have bought into the idea, they want to do something that hasn’t been done here in a while, with the new stadium, they want to leave their mark when they leave here.”
Tecumseh voiced they believe in their core group. Senior, Griffin Tuley, says it doesn’t matter what others think, this squad has the tools to succeed this season.
“Everybody is playing with a little bit of a chip on their shoulder, a lot of people don’t think we got it. I think all of us out here thinks we do. A lot of us out here think we are going to be in the sectional championship come October.”
Tecumseh opens up hosting North Daviess.
