DIXON, Ky. – (WEHT) Wins for Webster County football haven’t come easy over the past few seasons, but with an experienced and driven group back this year, the Trojans are hoping for more success.
“We preach to those guys, life is not going to give you stuff, you’ve got to go out and earn it,” said head coach Zach LaGrange. “They’re very hungry to prove people wrong. We’ve become kind of a negative view around here, and we want to change that. It just drives them more and more to try to do what people say they can’t.”
The players say they feel confident heading into this season after building towards a winning culture over the past few seasons.
“We can all see that the program has flipped, you can definitely just feel the energy,” said senior Aden Winn. “We’re just striving to be the best we can be.”
The Trojans will kick off the season against Hopkins County Central.
