IHSAA cancels spring sports

INDIANAPOLIS (WEHT)- Following Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb’s announcement that all K-12 schools would remain closed for the remainder of the school year, the IHSAA announced Thursday that all spring sports will be cancelled.

In a press release, the IHSAA says it “staunchly supports” Holcomb, as well as the State Commissioner of Health, and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction in their “herculean efforts” during the pandemic.

The IHSAA says it still plans to have fall sports as scheduled.
