Indiana Firebirds moving to Dayton

Sports

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) The Indiana Firebirds are leaving Evansville before playing a single game.

On Thursday, the National Gridiron League announced two teams would relocate, but did not say which teams would be on the move. One day later, the Firebirds changed their internet IRL to “daytonfirebirds.com” and changed the team name to the Dayton Firebirds.

The team website also lists all home games at Roger Glass Stadium, which is a high school football field in Dayton.

Multiple requests for comments from the team have not been answered.
