(WEHT)- Former long-time Indiana University basketball coach, Bobby Knight returned to Assembly Hall as the Hoosiers took on archrivals Purdue in Bloomington.

This marks Knight’s first return to Bloomington since his acrimonious departure in 2000. In 2017, Knight told Dan Patrick that he had no interest in returning to the university. However, Knight was on hand to take part in a halftime ceremony honoring the 1980 Hoosiers squad that won the Big 10.

On the court, things did not go as well for the Hoosiers as they lost their fourth straight, 74-62.
