Princeton High School senior Jackie Young has been named the Naismith girls’ basketball national player of the year on Thursday.
On the same day, Young was also named the Indiana Gatorade player of the year.
Young surpassed Damon Bailey’s all-time scoring record in Indiana and finished her career with 3,268 points.
Young is a Notre Dame signee who was also selected to the McDonald’s All-American Games.
The city of Princeton also honored Young, presenting her with the key to the city.
