COLUMBIA, S.C. (WEHT) – Kentucky lost to South Carolina 24-7 on Saturday night.
The Wildcats defense struggled against this SEC opponent, allowing the Gamecocks to have notable offense. South Carolina came into the game averaging just 93 yards of rushing against three previous Power 5 teams.
UK’s offense struggled in the contest as well, as evident as the Wildcats had trouble making significant ground down the field. It’s the first time Kentucky has started SEC play 0-3 since the 2013 season.
UK will have a bye week, but following next weekend, Kentucky will face off against Arkansas on October 12.
