GWANGJU, South Korea – Lilly King was disqualified from the 200 meter breaststroke preliminaries at the world swimming championships on Wednesday.
She was disqualified for not touching both hands on the wall on the first turn of the four lap race.
Judges oversee each lane and check to see if swimmers are simultaneously touching the wall. Team USA has appealed the disqualification.
