EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) One of the best big men in Indiana put pen to paper on Wednesday. Bosse senior Kiyron Powell signed with Houston.
The Bulldogs 6’10 center averaged a double-double last season with 10.6 points and 10.9 rebounds a game.
He is also a defensive machine averaging nearly 7 blocks a game.
Powell says, “This mean a lot. Just get it out of the way and get it done early. And to be able to focus on me and my team this season, we have a lot we want to accomplish. And for that to be done, we have to get all the distractions out of the way. And for this to be done so early and to have everybody supporting me means a lot. This is an incredible team and one that I’m happy to join. To play for coach Sampson is going to be like no other. Me and my mom talk about it all the time how we put our trust in him and I feel like he trusts us and its going to be a great pair.”
