NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT) – Tom Rose, Victoria National Director of Golf: Hello I’m Tom Rose, Director of Golf at Victoria National and today we’re out on hole number 14. A fantastic Par 4. 471 from all the way back. Normally depending on wind conditions, it’s going to play difficult no matter what, but if it’s into the wind, very difficult. And kind of the beginning of our last 5 hole stretch here at Victoria National, which we’re known for called the Gauntlet of Holes.
Alright, so we’ve hit a really good tee ball here on 14 and today kind of softer conditions after a rain storm out here but we have about 185 left into this fantastic par 4. As you can see from the camera view, uphill, a lot of trouble to the left with the big waste depression over there. A very difficult green to hit.
Alright, so we’ve navigated the difficult 14th hole fairly good. On green in two, and although we have a difficult downhill put of probably 40 feet or so, we got it on the green in two and gave ourselves a fighting chance of the par, so let’s see how we do from here.
Thank you for watching these segments and we hope you can join us out at Victoria National this Friday through Monday for the Korn Ferry Tour Championship.
