‘Jr. Pacers Hoops Tour’ for youth coming to Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — A free “Jr. Pacers Hoops Tour” for youth, conducted by the Indiana Pacers Jr. Pacers Basketball Program is coming to Evansville on Wednesday, from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. at the CK Newsome Community Center.

The event will be conducted by Pacers ABA legend Darnell “Dr. Dunk” Hillman, and will provide opportunities for boys and girls ages 6-14 to learn the fundamentals of the game, as well as emphasize sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, and healthy living.

There will also be Pacers giveaways, a complimentary lunch, small group instruction, competitive games and visits from former Pacers greats Dave Robisch, Billy Keller and Scot Pollard.

The tour is presented by St. Vincent and Gatorade.

The CK Newsome Community Center is located at 100 Walnut Street in Evansville.
