EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Memorial Tigers got a big send-off as they head for the 4A state championship football game in Indianapolis.

A pep rally was held in the school’s gym on Friday afternoon to get the team and its fans fired up about Saturday’s game.

The Tigers play East Noble in the IHSAA 4A championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

It’s the third straight year the Tigers have advanced to state.

It’s also the fifth state championship game for Coach John Hurley.

For senior tight end Mason Auker, it’s a chance once again for him to play on the big field.

The game is Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Memorial won the Class 3A title in 2017.
