EVANSVILLE, Ind. – (WEHT) Washington alum and former hoops star Luke Zeller spent the evening in Evansville on Tuesday, speaking at an event in conjunction with concussion awareness week.
Zeller shared his advice on life and his experience with concussion awareness and basketball.
“It’s surreal, I grew up in a small town in Washington, and I didn’t plan on doing anything other than playing basketball. I remember people who inspired me to get better, so for me to have kids or be able to coach high school in the summer with Distinction and being able to do some of those things, I love those opportunities because I know the coaches and teachers who influenced me, ” said Zeller. “I just always try to help out as much as I can.”
The event was sponsored by the St. Vincent Sports Concussion Alliance. Zeller was named Indiana Mr. Basketball in 2005.
