Jay Burgett’s team will have it’s toughest test tomorrow when undefeated Logan County comes to town. Michael Gilbert previews the big district showdown from Maroons’ practice.

Madisonville North Hopkins is having another spectacular year. The Maroons are a perfect 5-0, averaging 40 points a game and holding their opponents to 8.6 points a game.
Jay Burgett’s team believes they can keep it rolling heading into Friday.

We know with Logan County coming into our house, they have a sour taste in their mouth from last year, just we did a year ago. I expect a physical football game, I expect both coaches to have great execution on both sides of the ball.
“It’s just been back and forth for the past two years, just one play has decided the ball game for both games and it’s just a lot of hostility and it’s just exciting, it gets really heated.”
“It matters just like any other game in the season, we don’t want to elevate it too much but also not trying to play it down. We know we got to win this game to win our district and we are taking it as serious as possible.”

Madisonville North Hopkins will have their toughest challenge this season taking on Logan County, who’s one of the top ranked 4A teams in Kentucky. The team excited for the opportunity and this is our game of the week you can see it live on CW 7. Kick off is at 7.
Reporting from Maroons practice, Michael Gilbert, Home Team Friday.
