Major League Baseball celebrates “Opening Day at Home”


(WEHT)- There may not be any live baseball Thursday after opening day was postponed due to COVID-19 but Major League Baseball is helping fans celebrate opening day from home.

On TV and online, Major League Baseball is replaying classic games from the past 20 years as baseball experiences its first opening day without baseball since 1995, when opening day was delayed due to a labor stoppage.

All games from 2018 and 2019 and 100 “timeless games” are also available on MLB.TV.

Cincinnati Reds fans are encourage to wear red today and post their favorite opening day memories with the hashtags #OpeningDayAtHome and #RedsCountry.
