Mater Dei wrestling wins their 10th straight regional championship

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Highlights and reaction as Mater Dei won their 10th straight regional wrestling championship at North High School.

As a team, the Wildcats scored an impressive 233 points.

The team believes anytime you can advance to semi-state and win as a unit, is memorable for them.

“We just have confidence in ourselves, we believe in our training and believing in yourself can take you many places and that’s all we do, we trust the process and it works out for us. It means a lot because not a lot of people get this opportunity, so having the opportunity makes me feel great.”
