Men’s city golf tournament holds qualifying round

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Saturday marked the qualifying round for Evansville’s men’s city golf tournament.

Despite the heat, golfers hit the links to try to earn their spot in this years competition.

The event is open to all sorts of athletes. Golfer ages ranged from 14 to 80 years old.

It’s a notable contest to say the least. The tournament dates back to 1930, four years before the Masters started.

Evansville’s city golf tournament runs the first two weekends in August featuring some of the best talent in the Tri-State.
