Meyer Looking to Build Off of Incredible Junior Season

Dylan Meyer was a machine on the golf course this past season.

In his junior year at Illinois, the Central graduate racked up all sorts of accolades, which included earning All-American honors, helping his team advance to the NCAA Championships Final Four, and being named a Ben Hogan Award finalist.

All of his success has also led to opportunities at the next level.

Thanks to sponsorship and tournament exemptions, Meyer will be competing in three pro events, including the PGA TOUR’s John Deere Classic in July, and the Valspar Championship next Spring.

But before Meyer starts seriously thinking about his pro career, he wants to bring a National Championship to Illinois.

“I want to win the NCAA’s as an individual, but it’s more important to win it as a team”, said Meyer.

“Because if we’re winning as a team, that means I’m playing well and Nick’s [Hardy] playing well, and the team is playing well, so it’s always been the goal since freshmen year to get that team title and get to the championship.”
