A blessing for the latest Catholic school in Union County.
John Paul II opened today and held a special procession to honor the occasion.
The school replaces Saint Ann school located across the street.
People from all around Union County came together to sing and commemorate the new school.
“The music was great, Father Freddy’s message to our guest today, he did a great job. We had a lot of alumni from Catholic schools across the county sing and participate. The crowd was awesome. I think it went really well,” said Beth Hendrickson.
Classes are set to begin on Thursday.
The school has more than 200 students enrolled.
