Newburgh just won their regional final and will play in the Cal Ripken World Series in Branson, Missouri.

Head coach, Marty Watson, says the team feels thrilled to be going to one of youth’s baseball’s biggest stages.

“I’ve been with these guys for four years and this has been a goal of ours is to get to the World Series. Obviously with 12 year olds, this is the big one especially with international teams coming in. It means a lot to us, hopefully a lot too to our local community and the Tri-State as well.”

The Cal Kipken World Series starts on August 2nd.
