OCU prepares for new season with annual Media Day

Sports

OAKLAND CITY, Ind. (WEHT) It will be a new era this season for Oakland City basketball. Long time head coach Mike Sandifar is no longer roaming the sidelines. Lee Moore takes over the program and he has some big shoes to fill.

Local media got a first look at the Mighty Oaks on Wednesday during media day.

It will be a young team taking the floor later this fall at the Johnson Center. Only 1 senior is on the roster this year.
Moore says he has no expectations for this group, except to work hard every day.

Moore says, “The traditional thing is to look forward and say we want to win a conference championship, and we want to be able to go so far. We will let those just take care of themselves. I’m telling you what I’m really excited, it’s a great group of guys to work with and the school has been fantastic, they really make us feel at home.”
