For the twelfth year in a row, the Otters welcomed local charity Jacob’s Village to Bosse Field.
The annual Jacob’s Village Day game is designed to directly benefit Jacob’s Village, a program devoted to assisting people with disabilities. All proceeds from the game go to the program, and since its inception, the event has become a fun-filled experience for fans of all ages.
Jacob’s Village residents were able to participate in a handful of fun events including singing the National Anthem and of course, watching the game.
This year’s game was the home exhibition opener for the Otters, who faced off against the River City Rascals at Bosse Field. Unfortunately, the defending Frontier League champs did not get the win on Jacob’s Village Day, falling to the Rascals, 13-4.
The Otters will kick off the regular season on the road next week, before heading back to Bosse Field for their home opener on May 19th.
