Otters hold open tryout camp

Baseball is right around the corner for the Otters. Evansville will potentially be looking to stack up their team before the season starts.

Evansville won the Frontier League in 2016, their second title in franchise history. The Otters have been solid when it comes to making the postseason. Evansville has advanced to the Frontier League playoffs for the third time in four years.

Their hitting coach, Bobby Segal, says they are looking to see if some can make the team.

” Basically if there’s something better than what you currently have on your roster, and there’s a lot of talented that are here, that we may or may not have a spot for them. But I’ll tell you what, we’ve had a lot of guys that have been very solid players in the Frontier League after we found them at these kind of tryout camps.”

Otters begin the season on May 1 against the Florence Freedom.
