Otters ready for late season push to the playoffs

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) There are 15 regular season games left for the Otters, and Evansville is in the middle of the playoff chase.

The Otters have the second-best record in the Frontier League, but that’s only good enough for second place in the West division.

The two division winners and the two non-division winning teams with the best record advance to the playoffs. Right now the Otters would be a Wild Card team, but the race is tight. Only two games separate 1st from 4th in the West division.

Manager Andy McCauley says, “Playing meaningful games in August is something to look forward to. It’s easy to get motivated to go out and play hard.”
