Otters Top Wild Things

Sports

Thanks to a go-ahead 2-run double by Nike Balog, the Otters beat the Wild Things 4-2.

With the game tied at 2-2 in the 5th, Balog hit one into the right-center gap to drive in Josh Allen and Chris Riopedre and give the Otters a 4-2 lead.

That’s all the Otters would need offensively, as starting pitcher Hunter Ackerman was dominant on the mound.

When it was all said and done, Ackerman struck out 10 Wild Things batters.

With the win, the Otters improve to 37-29 on the season.
