OWENSBORO, Ky. – (WEHT) Owensboro Catholic is riding high after their performance on Friday night, especially quarterback Drew Hartz.
Hartz set a new school record on Friday night, rattling off nine touchdowns in nine possessions. His nine scores also ties a state record.
“At first it was to execute, and we were executing great. Then I realized, I’ve seen that the record has been 8 for Catholic high, and I asked Morris if we could try to shoot for it. He said ‘yea you just get one more possession’ and went out and executed. It means a lot, but I couldn’t have done it without my teammates,” said Hartz.
Head Coach Jason Morris says Hartz has played a key role in Catholic’s success this season, and that he hopes his offense can keep putting up high numbers.
The Aces will be on the road Friday as they head to Todd County Central.
