Patriots embracing high expectations

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – (WEHT) Heritage Hills enters this season with high expectations after returning a core of talent. The Patriots are led by big man Blake Sisley, as well as senior duo Murray Becher and Simon Scherry.

The Patriots haven’t won a sectional title since 2003, but they say this could be the year they get over the hump.

“This group is very driven to begin with, and they’ve got goals and what they want to do. We know that those aren’t going to be easy, but we do feel like we’ve got a great, great opportunity here to reach those goals if we continue to improve. We just feel like this is the group that has a great chance to do some really amazing things here at Heritage Hills, and we’re really looking forward to it. We don’t want this ride to stop,” said head coach Nate Hawkins.

The Patriots will face Memorial on Saturday.
