MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) – Madisonville North Hopkin’s Hayden Reynolds wins Home Team Friday’s week 13 MVP.
Moving on in the postseason requires significant performances. Madisonville North Hopkin’s Hayden Reynolds played well in the 4A district championships. Reynolds totaled 216 yards and had 1 rushing and passing touchdown in the victory.
Reynolds explains he wouldn’t be able to accept this award if it wasn’t for his team protecting him every week.
“This feels great i know this wouldn’t have happened without my offensive line for blocking for me, my receivers for catching everything i throw to them even if it’s a good ball or bad. It’s good to have them (the fans) Support us and have our back all the way through. Hopefully we can go win a region championship, it’s just good for us that they have our back.”
Madisonville North Hopkins’ head coach, Jay Burgett, describes Reynolds performance as special because of his journey to get to this spot.
“It means a lot, Hayden has undergone a lot of adversity during his time here, he started as a sophomore then just half a season as a junior, than this year he devoted himself to be a better football player and he wanted to play any position we wanted him to. We saw him as our quarterback leading our football program and our football team here and he’s done a great job with it.”
Reynolds received 53% of the votes online from tristatehomepage.com and our Eyewitness News app.
