Sam Cunliffe ready for Aces debut

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) Sam Cunliffe is ready for the basketball season to begin. The 6-6 guard will be eligible to play this year for the Aces, after sitting out a season following transferring from Kansas.

Cunliffe is one of the most heralded transfers to UE in recent memory. He was a top 50 recruit out of high school.

Cunliffe says, “This is the place where I felt like with what I want to do, and it matched up with what they (Aces) wanted me to do the most. Help me get to the next level. Go to a place, change the culture, win and have fun. So it was a good match. Me and coach have gotten really close. He’s hard on me but definitely helped me become a better man and player.”
