Actress and Indiana native Florence Henderson is getting a new role for the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.
Henderson has been a part of the festivities for 25 years.
She will now serve as grand marshal, while the Indianapolis Children’s Choir will take her place in singing “God Bless America.”
Henderson is a native of Dale and is only the second person to serve as grand marshal of the race.
She will deliver the “drivers to your cars” announcement.
The Indianapolis Children’s Choir is also accompanying Josh Kaufman for the singing of “Back Home Again in Indiana.”
