SPHL suspends 2019-2020 season


EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) has suspended its 2019-2020 season according to the league’s official Twitter account.

The Thunderbolts followed up moments later with a press release stating.

“For the safety of our fans, players, team personnel and arena staff, the Southern Professional Hockey League today announced that due to concerns over the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, it has suspended the 2019-2020 season effective immediately.”

The Thunderbolts go on to say they will be working with season ticket members, corporate partners, single-game buyers and other affected parties with additional information soon.
