Tecumseh girls ready for regional play

LYNNVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Tecumseh’s girls basketball team will make their second consecutive trip to regionals this weekend.

Tecumseh girls basketball chose the right time to start playing some of their best basketball. The team has won 6 straight after holding off Springs Valley to win the Class 1A sectional championship. The Braves are thrilled to be moving onto regionals.

“It gives you a lot of confidence, the kids are playing hard and extremely well, they know they can win but it goes back to what we have talked about all year long what you are ranked but I think they we are ready for this weekend. “

“It definitely motivates us a lot because we definitely wanted to win (regional championship) last year and it gives us more confidence this year that we could have.”

“I think we have a shot at winning, if we show up and play our game like we know we can I think the outcome will be for us. We help each other back up and that helps us play better as a whole.”

Lanesville and Tecumseh tip at 9 AM on Saturday morning in the West Washington regional.
