JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WEHT) – The Indiana Hoosiers were stunned 23-22 by Tennessee on Thursday night in the Gator Bowl.
The Volunteers scored twice within a 30 second span late into the game, utilizing an onside kick, to erase a double-digit deficit to stun the Hoosiers.
Tennessee earns its fourth straight bowl victory with the win. IU, on the other hand, had some opportunities. Hoosier kicker, Logan Justus missed an extra point in the 3rd quarter, and then was wide right on a 52 yard attempt in the late into the 4th.
Indiana finishes 8-5, their best season since 1993.
