Fans of the New Orleans Saints held a “Boycott Bowl” on Sunday as a protest.
They were upset with a lack of a pass interference call during the New Orleans-Los Angeles playoff game.
Many said the decision by the referees most likely prevented the Saints from winning the game and making an appearance in NFL’s championship game.
Many bars in New Orleans didn’t tune into the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Some aired a replay of the Saints’ win in Super Bowl XLIV.
Others in the city took to the streets in the French Quarter for a procession, decked in the team’s colors of black and gold.
