Thousands expected to arrive in Evansville for Softball tournament


EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – More than 8,000 people will arrive in Evansville this week for the USSSA Fastpitch Great Lakes Nationals.

This is a softball tournament with about 200 teams from eight states.

The Red, White and Blue themed parade is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

Police cars, The Boom Squad, and the Evansville Otterbelles will lead the parade into the Ford Center, where the teams will be welcomed by Mayor Lloyd Winnecke.
