EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Memorial Tigers received a hero’s welcome as John Hurley’s team returned to campus on Sunday.

Memorial players rode down Lincoln Avenue on a firetruck and were greeted by fans cheering and applauding them.

The team says the experience will be very memorable.

PERSONAL COMMENTS

(JOHN HURLEY)
“Riding that firetruck is icing on the cake from the standpoint of getting to watch the kids but heck the coaches are excited and see people you haven’t seen along the street, it was really fun to watch.”

(COLTON PENCE)
“The Memorial community is amazing, they travel well and they follow everywhere, no matter what sport. It’s amazing riding down there on Lincoln avenue, rolling past memorial seeing all the fans.”
