LEXINGTON, Ky (WEHT) Mark Stoops’ troops will begin the new year with a chip on their shoulders.
Despite winning 10 games last season, UK has received very little love in the preseason polls for 2019. Kentucky was picked to finish 6th in the SEC East.
Big Blue will definitely have some key players to replace on the field this fall. Gone are the likes of Benny Snell Jr. and Josh Allen. Snell is UK’s all-time leading rusher and Allen was a 1st team All-American.
UK will rely heavily on quarterback Terry Wilson. In fact, offensive coordinator Eddie Gran says the 2019 version of the ‘Cats is “his team.”
UK opens the season on August 31st hosting Toledo.
