USA women win back-to-back World Cups

The United State’s women’s soccer team defeated the Netherlands 2-0 in the 2019 World Cup. USA has now won back-to-back World Cups.

In the 61st minute of the game, Alex Morgan was fouled inside the box after a review from the VAR (Video Assistant Referee.) Megan Rapinoe scored the United States first goal off a penalty kick.

Later in the 69th minute, Rose Lavelle, scored the game clinching goal from a strike just inside the box.

It’s the team’s 4th overall World Cup win.
