EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – USI baseball begins their home slate this weekend. Southern Indiana hosts Trevecca for a three game weekend series.
The Screaming Eagles lost two out of three in their series opener against Davenport.
Tracy Archuleta’s says his team is anxious to play in front of their fans this weekend.
“We talk about this all the time, we love being out here, and enjoy our community and the support we get, and we look forward to a great season. Let’s put some wins together and it will be a lot better. Now we are ready to get out there, compete and see where we are at.”
While his team, understands that the home support can lead to better play says Bryce Krizan.
“We are so excited and we do feel that support from the community, that really helps us every game when we can feel the crowd cheering and it gives us strength and hope. The last two games didn’t turn out the way we hoped it would but I thought overall, it was exciting to see our talent and skill level.”
First pitch set for 2:00 pm against Trevecca.
