HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – After reaching out to several high school baseball coaches and schools, Henderson County head coach, Adam Hines, responded to the MLB sign-stealing scandal happening around the league.
Hines says first, he doesn’t believe it will trickle down into high school or the youth league but he believes all the teams allegedly involved, made a morally wrong decision.
“”It was illegal to do it with technology, they were told it was illegal, two or three times from my understanding, and that’s really the problem, it’s morally disregarding the rules. I don’t think it will have a trickle down effect, even into youth baseball. I just know you have to govern yourself, play by the rules, play the right way and let the game take care of itself.”
Hines goes onto say, his team will learn from this situation on how to keep your moral compass straight. His full interview responses can be seen above in the video.
