EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – World series champion and central grad, Aaron Barrett returned to Evansville today to host a free baseball clinic.

Barrett taught 3rd to 8th graders proper pitching and throwing mechanics. The camp was also for a good cause. They raised roughly 2,500 hundred dollars and the proceeds will go to the Mattingly Charities.

Barrett says it’s good to be back in the Tri-State, teaching local kids the game of baseball.

PERSONAL COMMENTS

(AARON BARRETT)
“It’s been a fun ride, obviously to make it back this year and cap it off with a World Series championship. I’m just excited to be back in Evansville and give back and teach some of these kids parts of the game. Hopefully have fun too. It’s just a neat experience and come back to remember the things I used to do and try to pave it forward.”
