Young Warriors eager to surprise people this season

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – (WEHT) If you look at Harrison’s roster this season you’ll notice the Warriors don’t have much veteran varsity experience. Despite their youth, head coach Nathan Fleenor says he believes his team has the pieces to surprise people this season.

“We’re a very young program, which is exciting. We have a lot of really good pieces, and I think if we get these pieces together and playing well together, I think this is a group that can be really successful and surprise people by the end of the year. I think good things are gonna happen with this group,” said Fleenor.

The Warriors have only one win so far on the season, but are confident they will progress.

“The expectations are high because we know we can stay positive and stay together. We just have to come to practice, work our butts off, and just stay together. We’re young, but we still have a lot of talent, and I feel like we can shock people,” said senior Jatwan Watson.

The Warriors haven’t had a losing season since 2007. Up next, Harrison will take on Castle on Friday night.
