At the conclusion of the championship match of the Oakland City University Academic Challenge scheduled to be broadcast on LOCAL 7 WTVW at 7:30 p.m. in the spring of 2012, Oakland City University will present each member of the winning team and the alternate member of the winning team with a four-year full tuition scholarship to the University. The total number of four-year full tuition scholarships awarded will be five.
Oakland City University will present each member of the runner-up team in the championship match and the alternate member of the runner-up team in the championship match with a four-year three-fourths tuition scholarship to the University. The total number of four-year three-fourths tuition scholarships awarded will be five.
The scholarship award is a tuition award only and does not include books, fees, room and board or any other expenses associated with attendance at the University.
Each scholarship awardee must enroll at Oakland City University in the fall semester immediately completion of high school.
The scholarship awards will be offered solely to the members of the winning team and runner-up team members in the championship match. If the winning team or runner-up team changes members at any point during the contest, any member of the team not actively participating in the championship match will not eligible for a scholarship award.
All scholarships are non-transferable. Should an awardee not enroll at Oakland City University by the fall semester following their completion of high school, the scholarship is forfeited in its entirety.
Each awardee will be solely responsible for any federal, state or local taxes required to be paid in connection with the scholarship award.
