Dubois County EMA, NWS to host severe weather spotter training

The Dubois County Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service in Louisville will be hosting severe weather spotter training on April 9.

The event will take place at the Vincennes University Jasper Campus at 5:30 p.m. in the Classroom Building Lecture Hall.

The training is free of charge and open to anyone in the region, including the general public.

The topics covered will include identifying and reporting severe weather, severe weather safety, climatology, thunderstorm types, and related threats.

Registration is not required to attend.
